Production Technician I

Position Summary

The Production Technician I performs entry-level production, material-handling, finishing, and equipment-support duties. This position helps ensure that products are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule while meeting company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production tools, machinery, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Review work orders, layouts, specifications, and production instructions before beginning work.
• Assist with preparing, processing, finishing, cleaning, and inspecting products.
• Monitor work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Identify and report product defects, equipment problems, or safety concerns.
• Complete required production records and documentation accurately.
• Safely move materials and finished products between production areas.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Use required personal protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production priorities.
• Assist other employees and departments as needed to meet production schedules.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous-improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, construction, fabrication, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to organize and complete assigned production tasks efficiently.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operations.

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and twist.
• Use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, controls, and materials.
• Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Move heavier materials with assistance or approved lifting equipment.
• Perform repetitive production and finishing motions.
• Maintain sufficient visual ability to inspect products for accuracy and quality.
• Communicate effectively in a production environment.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed primarily in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or shop environment.
• The employee may be exposed to dust, noise, machinery, moving equipment, fumes, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and protective footwear.
• Compliance with all company safety policies and equipment-operating procedures is required.

Job Title: Installation Specialist Assistant

Schedule: Day Shift M-F

Starting Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

An Installation Specialist Assistant supports the installation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, systems, or products at customer sites. They work alongside installation specialists to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installing equipment, machinery, or products.
• Prepare tools, materials, and job sites before installation.
• Load, unload, and transport equipment.
• Help troubleshoot installation issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance and testing.
• Complete installation documentation and reports.
• Provide professional customer service during onsite visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
