Installation Specialist

Job Title: Installation Specialist

Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Installation Specialist is responsible for the safe delivery, placement, and installation of granite memorials at cemeteries and gravesites. This position ensures memorials are installed accurately, professionally, and without damage while maintaining positive relationships with cemetery personnel and customers. The Installation Specialist works independently and collaboratively with team members to complete installations efficiently and according to Dakota Monument Company quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organize work orders and determine the appropriate granite memorials and materials required for scheduled installations.
Load, transport, and deliver granite memorials safely to designated cemeteries and installation sites.
Install memorials independently and as part of an installation team.
Verify that all installations are completed accurately, professionally, and according to company specifications.
Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
Maintain positive working relationships with cemetery management and staff.
Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Inspect work completed to ensure customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Complete required installation documentation and work records.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Assist with production, delivery, and shop operations as needed.
Support team members during peak workload periods.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of monument production processes and quality standards.
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and perform monument installation activities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, and cemetery personnel.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and installation specifications.
Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills.
